“This was my first time seeking counselling and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Rina has a warm, empathetic and engaging approach. From the start she made me feel welcome and like I was not being judged. This meant that I felt free to explore how I was really feeling and make the decisions that felt right for me. I ended my sessions with Rina feeling more confident and empowered!” – Tia M.

“Rina came to our offices to present on self-care and managing stress. It was a fantastic session that everyone got so much out of. She gave us a background into mental health and the dimensions of wellbeing. We were talked through tips of increasing levels of self-care, managing stress and even the effects of social media. Rina ran through a relaxation exercise and gave us all actions to take forward. The session was received really well and we had lots of positive feedback. Rina was calm, knowledgeable and relatable – a perfect presenter. Even after the event, Rina followed up with us to provide further useful links and contacts in relation to a discussion that had taken place during the Q&A – she really went the extra mile. I would recommend Rina in a heartbeat!” – Emma Freeman, Assistant Vice President | Life & Health Business Management Swiss Re Europe
“Being in the music and entertainment industry, it’s hard to find someone to trust and someone who understands the struggles. Rina made me feel safe and she really helped me to make sense of how I could manage the pressure that comes with success. This has helped me to stay focussed, feel more confident, less anxious and to stop comparing and doubting myself” – JR
Over two years of supervision with Rina I learnt so much about working with process during in sessions with clients, working with intersubjectivity in the space and the unspoken aspects of therapy. Rina supported and guided me in the balance between content and grappling with the issues client brought and reflexivity in how I was being impacted, or how I was bringing myself into sessions. These were perhaps the most powerful revelations in the way I practice. I have gained so much from her integrative approach, and her knowledge and support in pluralistic practice, which has been integral in my development as a trainee counselling psychologist. On a practical level, I was able to brainstorm and grapple with “stuckness” and Rina provided an incredible, grounding support when it came both to strategies, but also to general knowledge about what it is like to work as a counselling psychologist in the UK. She is open and generous in sharing her expertise and knowledge and I felt completely at ease from day one. – Trainee counselling psychologist

Each session felt like a completely safe space, and her knowledge and calm demeanour not only helped me to work through some difficult issues, but gave me the tools to approach any future hurdles in a healthy way. I feel stronger and more resilient thanks to Rina, and would recommend her one hundred percent” – NHS frontline worker

“Prior to seeing Dr Bajaj for EMDR treatment, I was not able to sleep for 3 whole years. Physically and mentally exhausted and on hyper alert all of the time. After seeing Dr Bajaj, every during the lockdown, I can sleep progressively better at night. Her EMDR techniques have helped me to equip myself when dealing with severe panic attaches and anxiety. I have found my new self.” – Jack
Dr Rina Bajaj was my external clinical supervisor throughout the duration of my Doctoral Training from 2017-2020. Rina was a pleasure to work with, she is a very enthusiastic and highly skilled Psychologist who holds her supervisees at the centre of her work. The focus of her clinical supervision was always to support me with my personal and professional development. Rina provided a non-judgmental safe supervisory space to allow me to reflect on my work, as well as further develop skills and knowledge in working within a Pluralistic framework. This included the integration of various modalities such as, CBT, Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Narrative Therapy and other trauma informed modalities. Rina supervised my work in various placements, including gender-based violence clinics (rape, sexual-violence, domestic violence, political torture) and a rehabilitation clinic, working with various presentations such as complex trauma, PTSD, mixed anxiety and depressive disorders, personality-disorders, eating disorders, paranoid-schizophrenia, organic schizophrenia (tactile hallucinations), drug and alcohol misuse.
I was impressed with Rina’s holistic approach to our supervision as she was aware of cultural diversity and tailored the supervision to my unique idiosyncratic needs as a developing practitioner, allowing me to incorporate art and poetry as a medium for expression, which had a positive impact on my clinical work. Rina was highly sensitive to the importance of compassionate care and had the commitment and courage to provide honest, transparent and fair supervision, which had been invaluable in empowering me and thus fostered by development of reflective clinical practice.
Rina is an interactive communicator, an empathic listener, she is observant and has the unique ability to bring humility to clinical work. In the midst of complex and challenging cases I felt contained, held and well supported to make difficult clinical decisions. Rina is a strategic supervisor, her excellent problem-solving skills and ability to integrate her vast knowledge in and out of the field allowed for swift and effective management of risk and safeguarding concerns. Rina was able to facilitate my development in working ethically and professionally with challenging cases and her sharp observations and careful pre-planning enabled me to remain prepared when faced with extremely difficult client disclosures.
Rina works professionally and ethically in accordance with HCPC guidelines and I have no hesitation in recommending Rina for her clinical supervision skills. From my experience of working with Rina, she is a person with the utmost integrity and professionalism, she is and will be for many years to come a real asset to the field of psychology.

Therapy with Rina helped me to gain a level of insight and understanding into myself which would have been very difficult, if not impossible, for me to achieve by myself. She helped to hold up a mirror to certain parts of myself which allowed me to better understand certain behaviours and triggers that I had, while also giving me a safe space to express myself. Over the course of my sessions with Rina, I was able to gain an appreciation for my own resilience and learned how to manage my mental health better, for which I am truly grateful to her. – Rachel, Dubai
I wasn’t sure what to expect from therapy but my sessions with you have been invaluable. You made me feel completely at ease discussing anything that was on my mind, and being able to let my guard down and express difficult emotions was a huge relief. During my emotional journey you helped me not only come back to my “previous emotional shape” but thanks to you I discovered that I have got more “colours and Shapes” and it’s absolutely fine to express them. With your support we got to the bottom of damaging thought patterns and worked through tools to deal with them, which I feel confident using on my own now. Your patience, understanding and guidance have enabled me to make what I am confident will be lasting positive changes. You are a wonderful therapist and I am very glad to know you are here if I need any future help.
